Les eaux du Lac du Bourget

Lac du Bourget

The largest natural lake in Savoie and France with its 18 km long

Le Lac du Bourget is located in the heart of the Alps 27 kilometres from the campsite in Savoie. It is surrounded by the massif of Bauges, de l'Epine, Mont du Chat overlooking the Savoyard front, La Chambotte and of course Mont Revard. These very pure waters make it a very famous place to swim, just like Lake Carouge. Its shape and seabed but also its strong winds make it an ideal place for water sports (sailing, windsurfing, fly board...)

This lake, which has been known since antiquity, offers a variety of water sports and seaside activities. Its water can reach 26°C in the middle of summer.

A variety of activities

Lac du Bourget offers a variety of activities such as sailing, rowing, canoeing, fishing, diving, and of course, water skiing and wakeboarding.

If you are passionate about history, you can visit the abbey of Hautecombe by the lake, a splendid place...

This lake is also known for its fishing and has about thirty species of fish, including lavaret and chevalier char.

The campsite ideally located to discover the lake for a day

The lake is less than 45 minutes from the campsite, so you can easily enjoy its landscaped beaches and water for a day. In the evening, enjoy a drink or a meal in the spa town of Aix-Les-Bains and Chambéry.

Come and stay in one of our accommodations in Savoie like our chalets or mobile homes.

Of course, Lac du Bourget will not be your only stopover in Savoie, many other beautiful places and landscapes are to be discovered in the heart of our wonderful region. We suggest you to present them to yourself either by coming directly to us for advice at the reception during your stay, or by coming to our welcome drink in high season where we will then take the time to introduce you to the many places to visit around the campsite.

Indeed, our establishment favours a superb location to easily visit Savoie, Haute-Savoie and the whole region....
