One of the most beautiful cities around the campsite is Chambéry, 23 km from the campsite. Around, you can enjoy the most beautiful wonders of nature and in the city everything is linked to art and history. If you pass through Chambéry, stop at the Saint-François-de-Sales Cathedral. The most beautiful medieval paintings are on display in this cathedral and the gardens around the site are also worth a visit. The elephant square and its beautiful historic city centre are also a must.

In the same way you can discover historical sites such as the castle of Miolans directly in St Pierre d'Albigny, or the towers of Chignin, the cathedral of Myans or the abbey of Hautecombe. Many other visits are also possible around the campsite. Do not hesitate to ask us at the reception, we will be happy to inform you.

Just above our campsite, you can admire the Massif des Bauges. This natural park, awarded by UNESCO, is really worth a visit by sports holiday enthusiasts. All levels of walkers will be able to find their happiness there. There are many hiking trails and it is very easy to hike.

If you go through the Bauges, you will arrive in one of the most prestigious cities around the campsite: the city of Annecy. This city is also known as "Venice of the Alps" and this is of course not for nothing. The old centre consists of corridors, bridges and colourful houses. If you go for a walk in this city, you won't easily forget it. In town, you can sit on a terrace for a drink or visit the Château d'Annecy museum. On the outskirts of the city, you will also find Lake Annecy. From this lake, you have a view of the mountains and the medieval city. Rent a pedal boat or boat to explore the area from the lake and discover its exceptional landscapes or take a long walk or bike ride around the lake.

For lovers of mountains and magnificent landscapes, In addition to the Massif des Bauges we are located at the entrance to the valleys of the Tarentaise and Maurienne.

Another important destination near the campsite is Albertville, still 23 km from the campsite. This city is best known for hosting the 1992 Olympic Winter Games. Today, the ice rink built for the event is still in use, for example. The Place de l'Europe and its shopping streets will allow you to stroll and shop for souvenirs and local products. The great thing about this city is that Albertville is much less touristy than Annecy or even Chambéry. In this city, you can walk in peace and quiet and you will meet mainly inhabitants rather than tourists.

There are also many activities that can be practiced in Savoie: rafting, canyoning, via feratta, swimming in the many lakes of our territory, horse riding or paragliding are all activities that will spice up your camping holiday in Savoie. However, hiking remains the most important sport in Savoie. Go as a family (even with young children) to discover sumptuous landscapes, flora and fauna in the mountains. And what better way to take a small picnic on the banks of a river with a view of a mountain range.

Savoie also offers you fabulous fishing spots. Many fish species are present in our lakes and rivers such as Pike, Rainbow Trout or Lacustre. If you wish to plan to buy the fishing permit before your arrival, you can do so on the federation's website at this address.

Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves at Lac du Bourget. This lake is the destination for lovers of a boat trip. Around the lake are several majestic mountains and, on a sunny day, there are few more pleasant places in the region (except the Carouge lake of course) to spend an afternoon on the water.

Aix-les-Bains is the most emblematic city on Lake Bouget. This place is known for its thermal waters. Many French people came here to visit the thermal baths located near a natural spring. Enjoy an afternoon at the spa or take a walk in this charming city. History lovers should not miss the magnificent Château de la Roche du Roi in Aix-les-Bains. This castle is very well preserved and can be visited with a guided tour or audio-tour.

When we talk about the French Alps, we can't help but think of Mont Blanc and Chamonix. This majestic mountain is the highest in Europe and is very impressive. At the foot of Mont Blanc, come and visit the city of Chamonix. It is located at the foot of the mountain and you can take several cable cars and small trains to reach the surrounding peaks. It is ideal for families with children. The cable car is already a fantastic outing and you can adapt the trip to the age and endurance of your children. After the holidays, children can tell the school that they have climbed Mont Blanc: a visit to Mont Blanc makes each stay an unforgettable experience.
