The Bauges Massif

The camping Savoie du Lac de Carouge is located at the foothills of the Massif des Bauges. The town of Saint Pierre d'Albigny is one of the gateways via the Col du Frêne.

Come and discover this territory steeped in history, this totally preserved nature and listed as a UNESCO heritage site where the landscape is divided into villages nestled between meadows and forests, surrounded by peaks such as the Arclusaz tooth overhanging the campsite and culminating at nearly 2040 m while the campsite is at an altitude of 320 metres. Practice one of the many activities in the park: hiking, horseback riding, paragliding, canyoning, or Via Ferrata... The Bauges massif is a wonderful place to discover. Le Massif des Bauges is located in the heart of the territory of the two Savoies. Come to the Camping du lac de Carouge to visit this exceptional and unmissable place.

Les Bauges, territory of water and open space.

Lac de La Thuile

The massif has some very beautiful lakes within it, such as the Thuile lake, a mountain lake that is still preserved in its wild condition. But it is especially the two lakes surrounding the park (Lake Annecy and Lake du Bourget) that make it a definite advantage. You can't ignore these big blue spots. These two large natural lakes bathe the feet of the Bauges massif and offer you many beaches that invite you to peace and family reunion.

Enjoy an exceptional view of these lakes from the Grand Revard or the Col de Leschaux.

And with this water as a backdrop, you can find a rich and exceptional heritage classified by UNESCO: the palafittic sites. These remains of lake villages testify to the important activity of the shores of the lakes of the Alps in prehistoric times.
